In the Shade of the Sky

In the Shade of the Sky,
In the veranda of my home,
I sit, I watch! On ground, I lie
Seeing Sky making a dome!

The magnificent moon gazes at me,
Spreading delicately its veil of light on its milieu,
Making earth shimmery and silvery;
Over which, sweet thoughts, in my mind renew...

The sky, studded with stars innumerable,
Twinkling with changing colors of light,
Which throughout the night, is stable-
While presenting a soothing sight.

The Celestial Sky, full of wonderful wonders!
Oh! In them, the Heavenly God lives!
O! How I wish to climb those unseen ladders-
To reach the State of Supreme Bliss!
